Nicole Kidman has stepped back into the public eye just days after making headlines for her personal life. The Oscar-winning actress attended the annual amfAR charity auction in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, October 4. The event raises funds to support research on AIDS and prevent the spread of HIV across the world.
Her appearance came only a few days after she officially filed for divorce from her husband of 19 years, country music star Keith Urban.

According to reports, Kidman filed the papers on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The date of separation was also listed as the same day she submitted the filing.
Kidman and Urban had been one of Hollywood’s most admired couples since tying the knot in 2006. They share two daughters together: Sunday Rose, now 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
A source told ‘People’ that Nicole Kidman had been nervous about the divorce becoming public. “She’s been stressed because she knew the separation would eventually become public, and she was dreading it,” the insider said. “But she’s surprisingly calm now. She’s focusing on what comes next and on her girls.”
Interestingly, just one day before Kidman filed for divorce, another insider revealed that the actress had still been trying to repair the relationship. According to that source, she had been “fighting to save the marriage,” even though the couple had been privately living apart for months.
The last time the pair was seen together in public was in June this year at a FIFA Club World Cup 2025 game in Nashville. Around the same time, Kidman posted a heartfelt photo to celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary on social media. The picture showed the actress still hopeful about their bond.
